Boat time

The Vegetation/Sediment Teams went to site 2568. Great going, team, and we are glad you are done with that site.
In one of the delta's water channels
- Two water level gauges were installed, one in the channel and one 20-m inside the wetlands.
- Vegetation samples and tree measurements were collected at one location (completed). Also completed sampling at one feldspar location (3 markers obtained).
- This site is covered with ~1.5 ft of water (water level in wetlands = level in channels).
- Feldspar was collected in one station.
The Water Quality Team spent the day collecting samples along the side channels of the Atchafalaya basin.
- They went to site 2568, then worked southwards in the channels between the WLO and Atchafalaya River.
- Even if cloudy, the team got radiometry measurements along with water turbidity measurements.
The Island Team:
- Started the day working on filtering the water samples collected earlier this week and last.
- They also collected vertical profile of water near the lodging in concert with the WQ team’s measurements to provide cross calibration data.
