Simultaneous flight & field collection

Today, only AVRIS-NG flew over the Atchafalaya basin to collect a set of water quality and vegetation lines. Water Quality and Island teams collected in situ samples during overpass to calibrate remote sensing observations. The teams continued with in situ measurements around Mike Island and the Wax lake outlet respectively. The Island team made several ADCP and turbidity transects around Mike Island, down Greg pass to the delta front. University of North Carolina’s ADCP Team collected a few transects on the Atchafalaya River. The JPL team had their boat fixed and setup their sonar instrument for use tomorrow.
